I really love these shoes. I wear a size 10 but ordered a size 11 to insure extra length and width for my large wide feet. I thought they would run a bit small, but when they arrived, I was surprised to find they were a few inches too long. The width is perfect though, and they are very comfy.
I have not yet worn them for Zumba, so I will be sure to update after I’ve given them a try while dancing on carpet.

Testimonial:

Dance Socks are the best of the 3 types I tried.

1. “Dance Socks” worked best, were easy to slip on and off and were by far the best value. I got mine on Amazon because they ship fast (http://www.amazon.com/THE-DANCESOCKS…/dp/B00FHB4LIE), but next time I’ll try the maker’s website (http://www.thedancesocks.com/) directly. Note: u get TWO pair for $10, not one like the other brands. S&H was $3.99 flat rate and took 4 days to get here. I ordered 3 sets and S&H were still only $3.99 total. Why 3 sets? Because I’m a freak that looses stuff that is smaller than my house.

2. “Zumba Carpet Gliders” were the most expensive and were hard to get on and off. They cost $14.95 for 1 pair, plus $6.50 shipping and handling. It took 10 looooonnnggg days to arrive. The Zumba Carpet Gliders I tried worked pretty well on my big feet but are hard to get on and off. A classmate tried these and told me for her small feet that the “one size fits all” were too big and slipped off.

3. “Smoother Dancers” were the first type I tried. They cost $13.50 plus $3.32 S&H. They were cheaper than the Zumba version but more that twice the cost of Dance Socks. In my opinion, they are easier to get on than the Zumba product but don’t work as well Zumba. Dance Socks were easiest to get on and worked the best in my experience.

I was taking Zumba classes and the shoes were sticking to the floor during the moves, causing me some discomfort in my knees and ankles, so I started searching for a Zumba/dance sneaker option and found this one. I read all reviews first and I decided to go with this one and give it a try based on the fit feedback. My true foot size is somewhere between a 9 1/2 and a 10. In street shoes (e.g. Cole Haan, Sperry, Brooks shoes as examples of shoe sizing for comparison- if you’re a 10 in these brands, you’re probably a 10 for this one too), I mostly go for a size 10. My foot is more average/narrow. That said, I didn’t think they were cut narrowly. Seems to be an average width. This shoe fit my foot really well. I use a thin athletic sock, but most socks would work with this shoe without causing fit issues for me. Wearing the shoe – it wasn’t too slick. My gym has wood/synthetic wood style floors in their exercise room which could be slick depending on the shoe sole, but I didn’t feel unsure of my footing, even with them being brand new. I didn’t need any time to break them in. I did a full hour class with no issues. I only use them for Zumba class. These shoes seem to offer enough support, cushion, and flexibility to the point that my feet and leg joints are no longer sore after class. These shoes remedied my issues with sticking to the floor during Zumba moves. I’m pretty thrilled with this purchase. They arrived on time, were good quality, looked nice, and work really well for my needs.

I’ve had these Zumba shoes for about a week and love them. They seem to run a little bit narrow compared to other sneakers, but that works for me. I ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I have taken 3 Zumba classes with them. I love how easily I can turn and pivot with these shoes. There is no sticking to the floor and pulling on my knees. I have received many compliments in class too! The price was $20 cheaper here on Amazon than on another online retailer. I am happy with the purchase!

I love these dance shoes! I got them for when I do Zumba DVDs on carpeted floor at home. I had tried doing Zumba in my running shoes but they made it too difficult to do some of the moves where you have to slide your feet. These shoes solved my problem and make doing Zumba even more enjoyable. I was a bit nervous about ordering shoes that I had not tried on but these fit great. I take a nine in most shoes so I ordered a nine in these and they fit just right. I was concerned because the site says they are wide and my foot is a regular width but they were just the perfect width for me!

These shoes let me slide on the carpet when I to need but still give me enough traction that I do not worry about falling over. I plan to wear these to Zumba class where there are hard floors. They are much better for dancing than my other shoes and make Zumba more enjoyable for me. These shoes are very light, which is nice when I am dancing and sweating. They have some support but not a ton. It would be easy to put an insert in if you desired more support but they have enough for me! I liked that they come with extra colors of laces so I can change them to match my outfits or to just mix things up.

I definitely recommend these to anyone who does Zumba and feels the shoes they are using are not working for them. These are great to wear to do Zumba on any surface but especially carpet. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would by other Zumba shoes in the future!

I purchased these shoes after my Zumba instructor suggested I get shoes specifically for Zumba. Get the right shoe for the right activity, she said. I had told her how my knees had been hurting and that is why I didn’t do some of the higher impact moves, and she said the right shoes should help. I was a bit skeptical, and almost didn’t get these shoes especially because of the price point, but I am so glad I did. I wear 6 1/2 or 7, and have a fairly wide foot in the toe box area, but not so much in my heel, which ironically is how these shoes are designed, for a women’s foot, Made “For Women, By Women”, and the size 7 fit me perfectly. First thing I noticed is how lightweight, yet at the same time still very supportive, and surprisingly stable feeling they were. The real test was at my next Zumba class, and they passed with flying colors!!!! My skepticism quickly disappeared when I was doing the high impact moves that I wouldn’t even attempt before because of knee pain. I did a whole one hour class with no knee pain at all and worked out much harder than ever before since I was pain free. The lightweightedness of the shoe helped make kicks, and jumps much easier. And the spin spot on the bottom of the shoe made turns much smoother as well. As a result I am getting a much more intense workout, and becoming better at: “Zumba-ing”! I would also like to mention Amazon delivered before the projected delivery date, which was an awesome surprise to receive them so quick. Kudos to Ryka for making such a great shoe! This was my first experience with Ryka shoes and I will try some of their other shoes as well in the future.

I had several foot surgeries on bottom of one foot. These are only shoes that fit comfortably for Zumba. In fact. I use them in the fitness area when I do cardio.May look different but no different than neon colored running shoes. These shoes are great.
By the way. I am male size 9.5 and they fit size11 womens. They don’t make zumba shoes for males!

By far one of the best purchases I have ever made – I bought these ‘used’, but I sure couldn’t tell! My other Zumba shoes (Lollipop Z-Kicks) didn’t fit as well as I would have liked, but after a little over a year it was definitely time to replace them. I was very wary buying used shoes, and maybe I simply got lucky, but these shoes are great. Super light weight, they do not slip or loosen during my intense work outs (I used to have to stop repeatedly and re-tighten the laces on my old pair), have awesome arch support, they are true to size, and I love how bright they are! I would purchase these again in a heartbeat.

I loved these the moment I received them! Both the style and the color (lollipop) are so cute! I agonized a bit over what size to order since I wear a 6.5M and they don’t come in half sizes. The reviews gave me mixed feelings so I ordered both a 6 and a 7 to be sure. I was a little concerned when I received them. They turned out to both be wide width even though Amazon lists them as medium (M) width and the Zumba website lists them without any width. I wouldn’t have bothered with the 7s if I knew they were wide. If I’m going to wear a wide, it’ll usually be a 6W. After I found out they only come in wide, I decided to keep the 6s. They’re quite comfortable although there is a good amount of room in the toe. I’ve used them for Zumba twice now and I like the way they glide on the floor and I can pivot with ease. They’re also lightweight and cool. I feel much more like I’m dancing than I do in my running shoes that stick to the floor much more. I do wish they fit a tad bit more snugly on my feet, but I’ll probably try some insoles to take up some room, other than that they are a good fit and they feel good to dance in. …Oh, and did I mention they’re too cute?! 🙂

I love, love, love these shoes! I bought them for daily cardio and strength training workouts that I do at home on a slightly padded floor. I do HIIT workouts, weight lifting, step aerobics, kickboxing and stretching in these shoes and I have found them to be the most comfortable workout shoes I have ever worn right out of the box. I was training in Ryka Transitions before but bought these because I found them on sale locally. I actually prefer them to the Transitions – the sole has a low profile, which is perfect for lateral movements and step workouts. They fit my foot which tends to be wide across the ball. In other brands of shoes, I either have to go up to a 7.5 (Nike) or buy a 7 Wide (New Balance). I also have a very narrow heel, which is why I like the Ryka brand so much – I don’t get much heel slippage in their shoes like other brands. They have enough cushion to be comfortable, but not too much to cause instability when jumping, landing and moving side-to-side. I will buy additional pairs of these to keep on hand when these wear out.

I got these in navy/baby blue first, then I decided to get a second pair (the mint green pair). I love them both. The shoe is soft and fits like a sock. I would recommend this for workouts that don’t involve a lot of intense running. I ran for about 4 miles and felt shin splints. I have separate asics shoes meant for running, and I never have gotten shin splints before. The sole is pretty thin, so I use these for doing weights and general walking around campus. You could seriously wear them all day. I do see what people say when they say the top is pretty thin, but honestly, looking at the material, it’s not going to common that the toe fabric tears, unless you’re really poking your toes through them constantly while running or through rigorous exercise.

One thing I didn’t like too much about the mint green pair was that they are really easy to get dirty, especially on the toe area. On the first day I wore them, it drizzled/rained lightly and I got little specs of dark brown mud (from my driveway) on the top of my shoe. But I’m guessing in that case, you can just put them in the wash. Overall, I love these shoes and have gotten a whole lot of compliments on both colors!
